Davide Comaschi named 2013 World Chocolate Master

Nov. 1, 2013, Paris – Davide Comaschi of Italy was awarded the title of the 2013
World Chocolate Master.

In second place is Marike Van Beurden from Netherlands with Deniz Kacara from Australia in third.
The World Chocolate Masters 2013, held at the Parisian Porte de Versailles from Oct. 26-28, singles out Ruth Hinks of the U.K. for her exceptional job in the competition and for making the top five shortlist.

Congratulations to the Canadian candidate Olivier Tribut for all his hard work and to Brazil candidate Sergio Shidomi who is living in Canada.

Nineteen of the world’s most renowned chocolatiers entered the arena as contemporary gladiators. Armed with a whisk and spatula, all contenders fought to be recognized as the world’s most talented.

This year’s judging panel was made up of 19 jury members as well as two jury presidents and an honorary president: Angelo Musa, Norman Love and Iginio Massari.
