Cacao Barry adds to Canadian Ambassadors Club

Montreal – Cacao Barry has added Dominic Fortin, executive pastry chef at the Bearfoot Bistro in Whistler, B.C., as the newest member of its international Ambassadors Club.

With this appointment, Fortin becomes one of only 13 Cacao Barry Ambassadors located in Canada.

The invitation-only club includes a global membership of more than 100 pastry chefs and chocolatiers from more than 20 countries.

In the role, Fortin will collaborate with other pastry chefs and chocolatiers to influence the world of pastry through innovation, artistry and technical expertise.

Fortin’s work experience includes Sooke Harbour House on Vancouver Island and as pastry chef in various French cuisine restaurants and Relais & Châteaux. He joined Bearfoot Bistro as pastry chef in 2005.

“I make desserts that represent us and I do not like repeating myself. I am always looking for new ideas,” he says in a Cacao Barry release.

Fortin becomes the youngest Canadian Cacao Barry Ambassador. “I feel privileged and I look forward to sharing my passion and gain more knowledge from skilled chefs who are part of this club.”
