
Sept. 27, 2013, KS – Bakery Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) elected new members to its executive committee and board of directors.
Damian Morabito, president of Topos Mondial, was elected chairman of the board of directors. The executive committee also includes: Kurt Miller of J&K Ingredients and will serve as first vice-chairman; Shaffer Manufacturing’s Terry Bartsch will serve as second vice-chairman; and joining the executive committee as third vice-chairman is Allen Wright who is the vice-president at Hansaloy.
Patrice Painchaud, national account manager for Peerless Food Equipment, was elected to his first term on BEMA’s board of directors. With strong roots in the Quebec and Canadian baking communities, Patrice will play an important role in expanding further into Canada and overseas markets.
BEMA’s current directors also include: Bruce Campbell (AMF), Robert Miller (AMF/BakeTech), David Groff (Bedford Industries), Rick Hoskins IV (Colborne Foodbotics), Mark Hotze (DuPont Nutrition and Health), Troy Henry (The Henry Group), Don Osborne (Intralox) and Paul Lattan (Sosland).
