BC Food and Beverage announce Food and Beverage Winners

BC Food and Beverage (formerly BCFPA)  announced the 2019 BC Food and Beverage Award Winners, presented at the Gala Dinner, on September 17, 2019, at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre.

The award winners are as follows:

2019 BC Food & Beverage Products Of The Year:

Gold:Lita’s Mexican Foods – Tinga Taco Meal Kit – Jackie Thomas & Angelio Santos

Silver:Moonshine Mama’s Kitchens Ltd. – Tumeric Elixir – Melinda Divers

Bronze:FATSO Peanut Butter– Crunchy Salted Caramel – Jill Van Gyn

Most Innovative Product of the Year:52° North – Natural Birch Sap – Sarah Wall

The 2019 Product of the Year winners were selected by a panel of expert judges including Mijune Pak, Top Chef Canada, Ken Clark, Overwaitea Food Group, Danny Marcowicz, Executive Chef, White Spot Canada, Daryle Nagata, Premium Brands Holdings, Alexandra Gill, Globe and Mail and Ryan Moreno, Joseph Richard Group.

Innovation Award:SmartSweets

Leadership Award: Craig Ogilvie,ConAgra Foods Canada

Rising Star: Dionne Laslo-Baker,DeeBee’s Organics

Hall of Fame:7 Seas Seafood

Member of the Year, Processor:Quesava

Member of the Year, Associate: FASKEN

“This year we were blown away at both the quantity and quality of the nominations in what was the most competitive field I’ve seen for the awards in every category,” said James Donaldson, CEO of BC Food & Beverage in a press release. “The winners were all very deserving but had to overcome very tough competition – the panel of judges certainly had their work cut out for them!”
