Bakery Showcase floor now 90 per cent booked

Feb. 11, 2014, Mississauga, ON – The Baking Association of
Canada (BAC) reports nearly 90 per cent of its trade show space is sold out for
its 2014 event. The show floor houses about 400 booths over 100,000 square feet
Bakery Showcase 2014 trade show and conference will be held May
4-6 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
The biennial event attracts over 4,250 food industry
professionals including bakers (retail, wholesale, commercial), grocery chains,
and foodservice outlets including caterers.
Bakery Showcase is Canada's only national baking industry
specific trade event that features the latest innovations in baking
ingredients, equipment, services, technology, baked goods and more. The new
conference program consist of panel discussions, presentations and sessions by
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food
(OMAF), Guelph Food Technology Centre (NSF- GFTC) and Bakers Journal magazine.
Topics include the latest baking industry trends, food safety, government
assistance programs and export opportunities.
The highlight of the show floor is the College Creative
Challenge, a friendly competition between three Ontario based colleges designed
to highlight the creative skills of those looking to enter the baking industry.
