Anita Stewart, Founder of Canada Food Day, deceased

Anita Stewart, the president of Canada’s celebrated Food Day Canada had passed away on October 29, 2020.

As of August 1st, 2020, Food Day Canada was officially recognized in Toronto by Mayor John Tory on behalf of the Toronto City Council. The day and the events were established to celebrate Canadian food, the agri-food sector and the chefs who create and share stories behind Canada’s diverse food culture.
