ACE Bakery renewing nationwide sandwich contest

Aug. 16, 2013, Toronto – ACE Bakery and Food Network’s Bob Blumer, announced a second edition of Canada's Best Sandwich Contest.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, ACE Bakery is tempting Canadians with a grand prize that is even sweeter than last year of $20,000.

"Last year, Canadians really impressed us with the level of creativity and originality they brought to the table, but we know that was just the tip of the iceberg," said Marcus Mariathas, ACE Bakery's master baker and contest judge, in a news release. "This year, we've partnered with Bob Blumer for Canada's Best Sandwich Contest: 20th anniversary edition, and with even more on the line, we hope to inspire delicious and innovative recipes that deserve a spot in the limelight."

The bakery will be accepting recipes on its website (www.acebakery.com) from now until Sept. 24. The sandwiches will be judged on taste appeal, creativity, innovation and originality.
