2020 Bread Symposium postponed

The 2020 International Symposium on Bread has been postponed.

Organizer, Peter Reinhart stated in a press release: “Given the unique circumstances of recent days and the growing concerns around health and safety, we are compelled to postpone the 2020 International Symposium on Bread. Rather than attempting to reschedule for a later date this year, the uncertain outlook and the fact that we engage an international community have led us to move the entire event to 2021.

“Ironically, the theme for 2020 was “Disruption,” and we’re all witnessing plenty of it currently. I am committed to bringing the same, renowned “game-changers,” along with their insights and inspiration, to the 2021 Symposium.

“We’ll be keeping it in Charlotte, and offering the same (academic) presentation-style of format. A hands-on workshop-style symposium will follow, at the Providence Campus, in 2022.

I know everyone’s lives and livelihoods are being dramatically impacted by the global pandemic. I hope that the future thought-leadership we seek to provide will help, as the bread community looks to thrive in the post COVID-19 world.

“Thank you for your support and understanding.”
