OHAUS Corp., a manufacturer of scales and balances, introduces the RA
series of computing scales.
Combining the ruggedness necessary for retail environments, portability for operator convenience, and an economical price, the RA series is well suited for portioning, packaging, and retail sales of meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables, confections, baked goods, coffee, tea and other food items.
OHAUS has designed the RA series with a high-grade polymer housing and a removable stainless steel pan, making it durable enough to withstand the rigors of retail applications. Its small footprint of 12.3 W x 12.9 D x 4.6 H (inches) allows it to easily fit on a counter without being obtrusive. Three-window front and rear operator and customer LCD displays make it easy for everyone to see weight, unit, and total price of a purchase. All measurements are displayed with NTEP-approved 3,000d resolution.
Easy to use, the RA series scales have By-Count price computing and price accumulation functions that help maintain price accuracy. To further ensure measurement and price accuracy, the RA series has separate Tare and Zero function keys, and up to 25 PLUs can be stored in the internal memory of the scale.
Two models are available in the RA Series. The RA6US has a weight capacity of 15 pounds with readability of 0.005 pounds while the RA15US has a 30-pound weight capacity and 0.01-pound readability. Both are battery operated with sleep and auto-shut off power saving features.
