An inconvenient film (for Big Food) |
| Written by Brian Hartz | |

June 18, 2009 – The reviews are
rolling in for the new big-budget documentary "Food Inc.," which claims
to expose the seedy underbelly of food industry giants such as Monsanto. Much like Al Gore's "An
Inconvenient Truth" did for awareness of and discussion about global
warming, the folks behind "Food Inc." want this film to propel ethically questionable practices of major food producers into
mainstream conversation. While I haven't seen the film, and am not sure that I want to (at least at the cinema; I save my trips to the multiplex for special occasions these days), due to the shock tactics that are sure to be employed, I have read some reviews that at least make it out to be an intriguing alternative to summer's endless stream of movies about stuff being blown up. Here's a list of reviews of the film by various publications and websites. If you have seen "Food Inc.," we'd enjoy hearing what you thought of it. Was it thought-provoking? Too one-sided? Too shocking?
