Jan. 22, 2009, TORONTO – The icing-clad treat known as the cupcake is taking centre stage
this month as bakers and baked good-lovers (read: everybody) gather to
celebrate these morsels of awesomeness.
Cupcake Camp, to be held at Toronto’s Labspace Studio
the afternoon of Jan. 25, is based on a similar event in San Francisco
and gives bakers and general enthusiasts a chance to gather and discuss
recipes, icing strategy and general theory. “Lots of people like
cupcakes, we like to bake, let’s do this,” event organizer Monica
