Bakery makes 45,000-calorie, 55-pound snack
New Year’s revelers in Mobile, Ala., are going to need a mighty big RC Cola.

Workers at the Chattanooga Bakery assembled the world’s largest MoonPie Wednesday, sandwiching 14 pounds of marshmallow creme between three 3-foot-wide crackers. The 45,000-calorie snack will be transported to Mobile, where it will be cut up and served at the city’s New Year’s Eve celebration.

“We’ve made big ones before, but not this big,” said Tory Johnston, vice president of marketing for the bakery, which also produces the normal-sized version of the snacks. | FULL STORY
