Develops effective daily/weekly work plan based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results 2. Implements and maintains co-ordinated, aggressive and creative merchandising using Division guidelines, to maximize sales, variety and gross profit 3. Supervises Bakery associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives 4. Manages Bakery Department receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control, and that gross profit goals are met 5. Supervises department safety and sanitation programs 6. Performs Bakery Department personnel functions Qualifications: Requires high school diploma or general education degree; one to three years retail experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in order to read financial reports. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
