Job Description The Original Cakerie is Canada’s leading & largest privately owned frozen dessert manufacturer. Our business has grown to employ over 425 staff in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Our history of success has been built on the quality of our products and our highly innovative dessert concepts. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who will drive innovation by overseeing the execution of product design in our Product Design & Innovation department. This dynamic individual will guide Test Kitchen staff through proven experience, knowledge and hands-on product development. Key objectives of the role include:• Overseeing development of new product lines from concept to development to implementation• Developing and preparing new and revised formulations• Developing prototype formulas and product specifications• Developing talent through effectively guiding Product Designers • Overseeing daily Test Kitchen operations • Supporting Operations and Sales through product knowledge • Project work that targets areas for improvement in the manufacturing processQualifications:• Minimum five years experience in a related role such as Product Developer, Designer, or Baker • Food Science Degree, Food Technology Diploma or related degree• Experience in a senior development or supervisory Research & Development position • Culinary training • Demonstrated history of creative product development• Self-motivated go-getter who works effectively through others• Strong communication and presentation skills • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Experience in baking and pastry arts is considered an asset If you like to be challenged and prefer working in an environment that is committed to excellence and people first, then we would like to hear from you.www.cakerie.com
