Job Description The Original Cakerie is Canada’s leading & largest privately owned frozen dessert manufacturer. Our business has grown to employ over 425 people in a state-of-the-art world class of 105, 000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. Working from our Delta, B.C. plant, we are looking for a dynamic self-starter who brings his/her expertise to work with our product design team to create products of the future. Responsibilities will include:Developing new product lines from concept to development through to implementationIngredients testingEquipment & product testingOperations support through your product knowledgeProject work that targets areas for improvement in the manufacturing processWe are looking for:An inventive, imaginative, tenacious problem solver who has a passion for creating new products. One who understands that the product design and development is a painstaking process of methodically testing & evaluating, where only a few unique products are successful in making it to market. Initiative, self-directed & the ability to think innovatively are all ways to describe the perfect candidate. Preference will be given to those who possess experience in baking and product design along with a Food Science degree or Food Technology diploma. Experience in Baking and Pastry Arts is an asset.
